Poems
Children have lesson adults should learn, to not be ashamed of failing, but to get up and try again. Most of us adults are so afraid, so cautious, so “safe”, and therefore so shrinking and rigid and afraid. That is why so many humans fail. Most middle-aged adults have resigned themselves to failure.”

I want to hang out somewhere
Where poets, chess players & musicians
Come to spread enlightenment with spoken word,
Have mental wars, and share songs from the heart!
Everyone is happy, glad to be free
Where no one in the room wants to be part of
The robotic and scared society
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s beautiful
Music
His life is music
Music beats in his soul
& thumps his heart
Lived his life on a musical note
Highs and lows
With a good instrumental
background
He walks on strumming his
guitar
Seeing life for what it is,
his heart beats on
Music runs through his blood
& his heart beats for life
The beauty of day-to-day
Filled with high notes & low notes
But his heart stays strong
Because he hears something
we don’t
The rhythm of life
For Parris, love ya
